MLB Trade Deadline Power Rankings
This year’s baseball season has been a very interesting and tumultuous one. From a breakout rookie hitting homers near 500 feet, to a team going on an eleven-game winning streak, I’m sure we can all agree this year’s been pretty exciting. But who is the best team? Who is the worst team? And how does everyone else stack up in between? Well that’s exactly what I’m here to determine in this power ranking. I have created a method to analyze and rank teams not by my opinion, but by taking their stats and how well they ranked in other professional power rankings and assigning them a certain number of points. If a team was in the top half of the league in one category then they received positive points but if they were in the bottom half of the league they received negative points. I evaluated them in all the following statistics: batting average, team ERA, on base percentage, slugging percentage, stolen base percentage, WHIP, strikeouts per nine innings pitched, OPS, and fielding percentage. Using the total points each team earned, I was then able to rank them accordingly. So, without further ado, here are the TFF Trade Deadline Power Rankings.
